Hard contact lenses which are slightly larger than normal lenses. Around the outer rim are electronics coupled with a remote receiver which project a cross hair onto the lens. Other information can also be received which is projected into the bottom left hand corner of the lens though this is restricted to 320x240 pixels. With textual information scrolling from bottom to top.
For this lens to be effective it needs a remote system for communication. So far two units have been found. The Remote Weapon Sight and the Live Data Feed.
Remote Weapon Sight
Mounted on top of most hand guns, this unit uses mercury switches to feed 3d coordinates back to the wearer of Contact Sights which in turn sight the cross hair so the wearer can accurately target. Other information can be fed back if the weapon has a standard RS722 interface as well. This can include Ammo left in the clip, barrel heat and distance to target (only if weapon is fitted with a barrel mounted green laser).
In game terms this unit will add a maximum of +2. This is +1 for the green laser and +1 for the targeting sight. This must be used in conjunction with a Contact Sight.
Live Data Feed
A passive feed which sends signals to a configured receiver such as the Contact Sights. The information can be from anything as long as it the unit has a standard RS722 feed. Such info could be from an operative on a laptop to a GNN news feed. Remember that if the feed is to quick that the information will quick scroll off the Contact Sights feed screen. ICC has tried various feeds with some success including a feed combined with a motion tracker which gets projected to the Contact Sights Bottom left screen.
This was identified and recovered from a freelance operative, to the casual observer the skin cannot be identified. The skin is like a cat suite except it encompasses the whole body. Fastenings run from the groin to the sternum. Apart from providing minimal armored protection the skin is also used to disguise its wearer. Wear times would seem to be very short properly between 48 to 72hrs at the most before The Skin causes excessive dehydration.
It is engineered using the same skin used for synthetic humans, it has pores which allows the real skin to breathe. To complete the disguise colored contact lenses or contact sights.
In game terms a perception test difficulty 3 is required to spot the suit. The suit adds +2 to all locations for armor.
Mesh Jacket
The mesh jacket is a fine mesh worn over other clothing and armor. It has a small rechargeable battery pack which regenerates at one unit per turn of movement to the battery maximum of 12 units. When activated the mesh creates a distortion field around the wearer which seems to refract light abnormally. What this means is that the wearer becomes what can only be described as invisible. There are several inherent problems for the wearer.
1. The units battery recharges at one unit per turn of movement and requires 3 units per turn to operate. This gives the user 6 consecutive turns of movement before there is insufficient power in the unit.
2. The distortion also affects the wearers vision beyond 3 feet. This has the advantage that anyone who can be completely encompassed within the 3 feet will also benefit from the jacket.
These jackets have so far only be seen on Omega Security Operatives.
Laser technology has taken massive steps in the last decade. They are now small enough to be portable. The main problem of previous designs is the battery pack needed to power these units has not been portable enough having to be worn as a separate back pack. With the advent of advanced battery technology laser weapons now have a cell which can be switched like a magazine. The cells can be recharged but take between 4 and 8 hours. The recharging units are small enough to be able to be rack mounted in APCs.
Armor less than a Hard Core suit is pretty useless providing little or no protection at all. Lasers have a high penetration factor but become less effective at longer ranges. This seems to be due to atmospheric resistance.
Assault Laser Rifle AL60R
This is a very advanced and highly lethal rifle. Recovered from a Weyland-Yutani Security Operative operating on Earth, this rifle is small, light and compact. Since its discovery in 2178 Weyland-Yutani have stepped up production and plan to issue all their security personnel with these or in Free Fire Zones the AL60RG.The rifle has two settings Semi Automatic and Single Shot. The magazine packs seem to be less effective with automatic fire, ICC scientists have found this is due to a low transfer rate between the magazine and rifle.
In game terms the rifle is still rare and mainly found on Weyland Security OPS, though others may be in operation with special operatives who have contacts within Weyland. The rifle has two settings LRAF and MRAF switching between the two takes one combat action. The two sets of figures below for glancing rolls represent the two settings as you can see the rifle is less effective but still dangerous at MRAF.

This is exactly the same as the AL60R except in has a under barrel 40mm grenade launcher. The use of this rifle would only acceptable in Free Fire Zones.
In game terms the rifle stats are the same as the AL60R. The grenade launcher rules are the same as for the 10mm Pulse Rifle.
